Pulse Law is pleased to announce that Anthony de Fazekas has joined the firm as Lawyer and Intellectual Property Lead. Based in Toronto and Kitchener-Waterloo, Ontario, Anthony will lead the firm’s Intellectual Property practice and build a modern Intellectual Property platform for technology-driven businesses and their investors. In addition to the new services opportunities, Anthony’s presence will expand Pulse Law’s work in the Toronto market.
Anthony helps companies develop, protect, commercialize, and monetize their IP, technology, and data. His practice spans IP strategy and governance, IP protection, trade secrets management, technology and data contracting, AI collaboration and licensing, and IP diligence and support on financings, acquisitions, and other pivotal transactions. His recent work includes company-wide programs for identifying, protecting, and monetizing IP assets; master collaboration agreements and statements of work; technology and IP licensing for AI solutions; multi-party development and commercialization agreements; AI-as-a-service agreements; technology and data ownership provisions; and legal, ethical, and IP diligence on AI investments and acquisitions.
“Anthony has guided companies to significant IP-driven exits by turning complex legal and technology issues into business value”, said Todd Bissett, Co-Founder and CEO of Pulse Law. “He adds depth to our ability to serve companies whose enterprise value depends on IP, technology, and data. Anthony shares our commitment to delivering sophisticated, responsive, and commercial legal support.”
“Technology, including generative AI, is reshaping what clients expect from professional services,” said Anthony de Fazekas. “The tools exist. The challenge is integrating them into legal work effectively and securely, without compromising the judgment, strategic quality, and confidentiality clients require.”
“Pulse Law is built to meet that challenge,” Anthony added. “They have quickly built a boutique with real momentum among innovative companies and their investors, creating the right foundation for a modern IP practice.”
Anthony has extensive experience with technology-driven and data-rich businesses in artificial intelligence, financial services, health care, supply chain, and other innovation-intensive sectors.
Anthony’s arrival is part of Pulse Law’s continued investment in serving forward-thinking businesses. The firm will share further announcements about its people and services in the months ahead.
