Joseph grew up in Waterloo, Ontario, and is proud to practice law here today. He focuses on venture financings and mergers and acquisitions, working closely with founders, investors, and growing companies to navigate complex transactions. His goal is to provide guidance that is both legally sound and commercially practical, helping clients make informed decisions at every stage of their business journey.

He holds a degree in entrepreneurship, which shapes his approach to the challenges and opportunities faced by early-stage companies. Supporting founders through critical stages of growth whether raising capital, expanding operations, or pursuing strategic exits, is particularly rewarding. His background allows him to anticipate challenges, manage risk, and deliver solutions that are aligned with his clients’ goals and long-term vision.

He guides clients through complex deals efficiently, assisting with venture financings from seed rounds to growth-stage investments and advising on buy-and sell-side M&A transactions. I strive to turn legal complexities into clear, actionable strategies that support business objectives while protecting long-term interests.

Outside of work, he’s passionate about all things fitness, cheers enthusiastically for the Buffalo Bills, and gives back to his community by serving on the boards of two local not-for-profit organizations.
